As a woman entrepreneur and a known "storyteller" herself, Julie’s passion for healthcare starts with being able to share a patient's story and then simplifying complex scientific data. With a strong history of demonstrated leadership, exceptional communication skills, innovative thinking, and savvy analytical abilities, our founder is a passionate marketing and communications executive. Julie’s career includes significant roles such as President and Founder of JFPRMedia Group, Communications Contractor with Optum Rx, Executive Board Member and VP of Communications and Public Relations at Covira, now 32 Biosciences, and Interim VP and Head of Communications at Intellia Therapeutics.
Her professional journey includes leading consumer-facing public relations campaigns at Pfizer, serving as a media spokesperson at Hospira, developing comprehensive communications plans at Bristol-Myers Squibb, and providing strategic counsel at Ketchum.
Julie has also held senior roles for nearly a decade at Abbott, where she implemented integrated communications programs and led corporate social responsibility initiatives.
She has also served as an adjunct faculty member at DePaul University, teaching courses in Media Relations, PR Writing, and Healthcare Communications to undergradauate and graduate students.
Known for her exceptional communication skills, innovative thinking, and savvy analytical abilities, Julie excels in creating impactful and engaging communication strategies. Her sharp wit and drive to integrate work and fun make her a dynamic leader and a valued partner in any organization.
Julie also serves on the Board of Directors for the Stork Foundation for Infertility, after becoming a mother to her son via IVF in her mid-forties.
